If You Follow ‘Yes Sir Massa’ Order You Will Be On Your Own – Afenyo-Markin Cautions Judges

Following the GHc30,000 bail granted by an Accra High Court with respect to Baba Amando, NPP’s Sunyani East Communications officer, the Minority Leader Hon Alexander Afenyo-Markin has reacted.

The Ghanaian legal brain has cautioned judges of the various courts to apply common sense and abide by their judicial oath.

“Know that if you follow unseen instructions or act on “yes sir massa” orders, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻. Your decisions shall become part of the public record and posterity will judge you accordingly,” he says.

The statement from the lawmaker comes after an Accra Circuit Court ruled against an initial bail secured from the Police late on Monday, 13th April, 2026 following his arrest earlier.

He was also remanded for one (1) week, a ruling Baba said it “travesty has indeed happened to justice.”
